Menopause, a significant transition in a woman’s life, is usually accompanied by many hormonal changes that affect their health. Not only will incorporating effecting skin care products help address some of your skin concerns, but lifestyle factors also play a crucial role in overall health and well-being.
1. Nutrition For Healthy Skin
It is essential to embrace a well balanced diet rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals in order to support the skin health during menopause.
For example, incorporate more fruits and vegetables in your diet. Try to ‘eat the rainbow’ and enjoy different coloured foods, whole grains, lean proteins and healthy fats which will help nourish the skin from within. All these foods will help promote collagen production, hydration and elasticity.

5. Quality Sleep
Establish a consistent sleep routine! It is so important to prioritise quality sleep in order to support skin health, regeneration, repair and cellular turnover. Aim to create a sleep routine and limit screen time on digital devises (blue light exposure disrupts circadian cycles). Also, practise relaxation techniques and try to maintain a cool 18 degree temperature in your bedroom. It is also helpful to make your room dark and quiet and oftentimes, listening to meditation or music also helps sleep.
6. Sun Protection
Protect your skin from UV damage! Make sure you wear broad spectrum sunscreen every day, try to wear protective clothing, a wide brimmed hat to shield the skin and sunglasses to help the eyes. Protection from UV rays help prevent premature aging, hyperpigmentation and also skin cancer.
